56-2024 - Medicaid Administrative and Capacity Building Support

The City of Boulder Housing & Human Services department (HHS) works to meet the mental and behavioral health needs of low-income community members, through direct services and investments. The city’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) strategy includes investing to increase the behavioral health safety net. A goal in the Boulder County Behavioral Health Roadmap, in which the City of Boulder is a collaborating partner, is developing more options for mental health and substance use treatment that accept Medicaid. One of the needs raised by many nonprofit mental health agencies and networks of providers serving low-income community members, is for administrative and capacity-building support that can increase provider capacity to serve clients that are enrolled in and/or eligible for Medicaid.
