Perform an independent audit and express an opinion on the fair presentation of the City's financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including the City's four component units: Brighton Urban Renewal Authority (BURA), Brighton Cultural Arts Commission (BCAC), Brighton Economic Development Corporation (EDC), and the Brighton Legacy Foundation. The audit shall be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards as promulgated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and applicable state and federal regulations.
