Description

The Project is located on 15.54 acres of City owned land at the northwest corner of Main Street and Denver Street in the City of Brighton. Once the project is completed all of the Public Works, Parks, Utilities and Fleet Maintenance staff will be housed out of these facilities. The Project will consist of the construction of approximately 78,290 sq. ft. of new office and maintenance facility space and also includes both on and off site improvements. The City envisions the new construction to be of high quality and provide a useful service life of 50 years or longer and include;

Multiple hard wall offices
Multiple cubicle office areas
Break and meeting space
Fitness & Locker rooms
Operations Maintenance Facilities
Fleet Maintenance Facilities
Site improvements

Contractors submitting a response to the RFQ will be asked at a minimum, to state their qualifications, understanding of and experience relating to the Project and offer their methodology for meeting the City’s goals. Firms selected from the RFQ phase will be offered a Request for Proposal to proceed to an interview. Upon completion of the interviews, a firm will be selected to provide Pre-Construction Services.

The City will negotiate with the contractor selected to provide Pre-Construction Services and may in its sole discretion elect to enter into a CM/GC contract with the selected contractor to provide comprehensive CM/GC construction services to complete the Project for a Guaranteed Maximum Price (“GMP”). The City reserves the right to procure construction services via alternate methods or from another contractor if negotiations are unsuccessful, or if the City determines that it is in its best interest not to contract with the contractor selected as a result of this RFQ. Final Proposers will be expected to have key team personnel who will actually lead the work present the oral interview.
