Summary of Specifications:
The City of Brighton by and through its Procurement & Contracts Manager is accepting Bids from qualified firms to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and material as necessary for the cleaning of the south outfall channel, and to provide tree, vegetation and sediment removal, and excavation and repair of banks as stated in the Special Conditions of this Invitation to Bid. The project is located west of Sable Blvd. at projected 150th Ave. The channel is approximately 10 feet deep with a 20 foot bottom width and 2.5:1 side slopes. The length is approximately 1,700 feet. The channel is overgrown with wetland vegetation and trees. Sedimentation in the channel is primarily due to erosion caused by irrigation return flows from farm fields adjacent to the channel. Prospective bidders are responsible for inspecting the project site before bidding.
