Summary of Specifications:
Description of the Work This project is funded through federal Community Development Block Grant Funds. All work completed on the project will be performed in compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and Federal Labor Standards Provisions (HUD Form 4010). All work completed on the project will be performed in compliance with the latest regulations and standards for The Americans with Disabilities Act. The work to be performed under this contract includes all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials as necessary for the removal and replacement of noncompliant handicap ramps with ADA compliant handicap ramps. Ramps will be adjusted in the field to meet existing conditions and maintain ADA compliancy, as stated in federal and state requirements, and this invitation to bid. The work is listed by address in Exhibit B and shown in Exhibit F. The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications. The Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with the City, HOAs and Metro Districts, as applicable. The concrete flatwork repair locations are found in Exhibit B and shown in Exhibit F. Exhibit B and Exhibit F represent CDBG funds for 2015. The concrete flatwork repairs in Exhibit B and Exhibit F must be completed by November 30, 2015 and the invoice must be received no later than December 7, 2015. The City may terminate any contract without liability at any time before the issuance of a notice to proceed if, in the City’s determination, the work cannot be completed within these time periods. Liquidated damages for may be assessed in accordance with the General Conditions at the rate of $1,000.00 per day. The City’s award of any contract shall be contingent on the approval and receipt of an Environmental Assessment for the Project. The City may terminate any contract without liability at any time before the issuance of a notice to proceed if the Environmental Assessment is not received in sufficient time, in the City’s determination, to complete the work in the time periods stated above. Location of the Work The work to be completed under this contract consists of various locations located in the Derby Business District. The Derby Business District is bounded by State Highway 2, E. 72nd Ave and Magnolia Street located in Commerce City, Colorado. All work is listed by address in Exhibit B and shown in Exhibit F. However, the Project Manager shall establish the final location and quantities of all work in the field. The Project Manager will provide the Contractor with the location, type, and quantity of work to be performed on an authorized Work Identification Form.
