The City of Commerce City (“City”) seeks proposals for the provision of professional engineering design and right-of-way acquisition services (“Services”) to support the City in its implementation of the 96th Avenue Widening Project (the “Project”), on a non-exclusive basis, as set forth in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”).
96th Avenue was identified within the City of Commerce City’s Transportation Plan (2010) as a recommended candidate for highway widening in order to provide capacity improvements. 96th Avenue is classified as a minor arterial throughout the study area. This Project will consist of the segment from Chambers Road to Tower Road including the intersections at each end, a distance of approximately 2 miles. Project will also include completing the bridge design for the eastbound bridge over 2nd Creek including integration with the existing abutments. The Project will include completion of a traffic signal design at 96th Avenue and (1) Chambers Road, (2) Landmark Drive, and (3) Telluride Street. Additionally, an updated signal design for the 96th Avenue and Tower Road intersection shall be conducted, including warrant studies for the intersections at Jasper and Nucla Streets.
