Summary of Specifications:
Description of the Work General Description The work to be performed under this contract includes removal of pavement markings, curb and gutter replacement, crosspan replacement, cleaning of designated streets, minor mill and overlay, application of slurry seal, application of pavement striping and markings, and related work, as shown in Appendix and Exhibits. The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications. The contract shall be awarded based on the information and instructions to bidders. Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with trash removal companies, school districts, HOA and Metro Districts if applicable. The slurry seal application shall take place no sooner than June 16, 2014 and be substantially complete by September 30, 2014. Work on Quebec Parkway cannot begin or be in progress during the dates of July 7, 2014 through July 21, 2014 due to conflicts with the 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championships. Phasing of the work on the Civic Center and Police parking lots shall be coordinated carefully with the Police Department and Project Manager to assure appropriate access and parking remains available at all times. Location of the Work The location of the work to be completed under this contract includes: 1. Portions of Quebec Parkway from 64th Street to Highway 2; 2. Portions of the Turnberry and Potomac Farms subdivisions located North of 104th Avenue and East of Highway 2; 3. Civic Center and City Police parking lots located South of Prairie Parkway, and East of Quebec Parkway; All as shown on vicinity map and as illustrated in Appendix A, and Exhibits A through F. However, the Project Manager shall establish the final location and quantities of all work in the field. The Project Manager will provide the Contractor with the location, type, and quantity of work to be performed on an authorized Work Identification Form.
