Summary of Specifications:
Commerce City’s $137 million capital improvement program is the result of a November 2013 voter-approved sales and use tax increase that provides a dedicated revenue stream for new parks, recreation and road projects into the future. Projects to be done in the next five years include construction of a new leisure pool in Pioneer Park, the widening of Tower Road from 80th to 104th avenues, construction of a new recreation center in northern Commerce City, expansion of the existing recreation facility, and new parks for the Fronterra, Turnberry and Villages at Buffalo Run East neighborhoods. . The project sites are located at; Turnberry Park - 10725 Wheeling Street, Commerce City, Colorado (the “Turnberry Site”). The 9.5-acre Turnberry Site is currently vacant and is located adjacent to the Turnberry Elementary School. Villages at Buffalo Run East - 11698 Chambers Road, Commerce City, Colorado (the “BRE Site”). The 9-acre BRE Site is currently vacant and is located in newly developed neighborhoods.
