The City of Edgewater is requesting bids for the order of a Communications Server Telephone/Voicemail System:
The City of Edgewater is seeking a voice-based, software-driven, communication server telephone system combining telephone and voice mail technology with the power of the desktop computer. An important aspect is the ability of our users to control telephone calls and voice mail directly from their desktop PCs through an easy to use graphical user interface. By integrating multi-line calls and voice mail with the Local Area Network, the objective is to communicate using the PC as well as the telephone, at each individual user’s option, plus providing remote PC user access via the Internet to maximizing our ability to access and share information.
The City of Edgewater is looking for a completely integrated solution to all of its voice and related communication requirements. This requires all PBX telephony, ACD, VoIP, automated attendant, voice mail, IVR, etc. feature groups and applications to run concurrently and in integrated fashion on one server.
The selected system must support at least 17 incoming phone lines and support as many as 100 DID interface trunks.

The selected vendor will be our primary source for the following: • Communication server PC hardware, software, and telephone sets to be used in our offices. • Installation and configuration services for this equipment. • Integration of three remote buildings and necessary infrastructure to accomplish the same. • Wiring changes and upgrades • Training of users and administrators. • Maintenance of purchased and installed equipment and software. • Upgrades to the installed systems as necessary.
