RFP-2012-04-13-10 - Large Item Refuse & Public Refuse Container Collection

Summary of Specifications:
The City currently offers two (2) large item pick-ups each year to all residential refuse customers. These pick-ups are for large items such as furniture, construction debris as well as built up landscape materials. Residents that have City contracted refuse collection, fill out an application and are assigned a pick-up date by the City. Large items are left in the alley or on the street side for collection on the scheduled day. The City also maintains twenty-five (25) public refuse containers along public streets. Currently the City utilizes staff for large item refuse pick-ups as well as public refuse container collection.
