Summary of Specifications:
The Littleton/Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant (Englewood, CO) is requesting proposals to provide bulk methanol to the treatment facility for the year 2008. The successful firm will provide bulk methanol for a new de-nitrification complex, utilizing the product as a bacterial food stock in the removal of nitrates from wastewater. Since this is a new facility, it is not known how much methanol will be used on a monthly or annual basis. Initial use is estimated at 400,000 - 500,000 gallons per year and may be less once the process is stabilized and a treatment record is established.
