The City of Evans is soliciting bids for professional park planning and construction documents services for two new parks and trails systems. The City has held community meetings for these sites, and the recommendations were for passive parks that include amenities like boulders, benches, pavilions, raptor posts, bird boxes, open space, and an internal trail system with future connections to regional trails.
Arrowhead is surrounded by aquatic and wetland habitat and Tuscany contains ponds which are part of the City’s non-potable water system. Both spaces are unique and provide more room for residents to recreate, to learn about environmental stewardship, and help preserve special spaces for our residents and visitors. Please note that Arrowhead Lake is a privately held facility by the adjoining HOA and the public park improvements exclude lake access.
The 11-acre Arrowhead property and the 5-acre Tuscany property are located less than ¼ mile from each other along the 37th Street Corridor in Evans. 37th Street is the Main Street in Evans and links Highway 85 to the east with I-25 to the west.
