RFP-FL13-06-144 - 2013 HIGH PARK FIRE SOIL STABILIZATION PROJECT

Summary of Specifications:
In 2012, the City of Greeley (“Greeley”) and the City of Fort Collins (“Fort Collins”) mitigated portions of the burn area from the Hewlett Gulch Fire and the High Park Fire. Greeley, in conjunction with Fort Collins and Larimer County (“Larimer”) (collectively “Partners”), will continue these efforts throughout 2013. In performing these efforts, the Partners have developed a mitigation work program with the assistance of JW Associates and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (“NRCS”), United States Department of Agriculture. The NRCS has also allocated and awarded reimbursement funds to the Partners to cover the cost of the mitigation efforts related to the High Park Fire. Such reimbursements are authorized under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program, which provides funds for hazards created by natural disasters that cause a sudden impairment of a watershed.
