IFB-FG15-02-036 - 9th, 10th Street at 23rd Avenue Intersection Improvements

Summary of Specifications:
The work in this contract will consist of improving and widening the northbound to westbound left turn receiving lane. The triangular median island will be expanded to better direct the 9th Street westbound traffic and eliminate the need for the hatched striping on the westbound leg. The corner island at the southwest corner of the intersection will be rebuilt, new sidewalks will be constructed in the project limits, and a table top (elevated) crosswalk will be constructed for pedestrians crossing the right turn only lane at the southwest corner of 10th Street and 23rd Avenue intersection. The project will also include modifying the pedestrian signals in the intersection, adding City owned street and pedestrian lighting, landscaping, irrigation and preparing the triangular island to receive artwork (under a separate project).
