The City of Greeley owns, operates, and maintains the Milton-Seaman Reservoir located approximately 6 miles
up Hwy 14 from Ted’s Place. The City owns an existing house located near the reservoir that is situated on
Colorado State Land Board property within Larimer County. The existing house is a single wide 1,000 squarefoot
home that was set on a cinder block foundation in 1983. A 200-square foot addition was constructed on a
concrete foundation in 1993. The house has reached its useful life and requires removal and replacement with a
new home with 1,200 to 1,500 square foot of living space. It has been determined that the existing foundation is
not suitable for reuse. The house is heated with propane.
The new home may be stick-built or brought in as a factory-built, prefabricated, modular house. There are two
narrow bridges that may require the removal and replacement of tall guardrails. Each proposer will need to
determine for themselves if they will require removal and replacement of the guardrails at their expense.
The new home will be occupied for approximately 30 years. Afterwards, the house will likely be removed and the
site reclaimed.
