The City of Greeley (“City”) Community Development Department is re-establishing the Neighborhood Resource Office programs, which includes a neighborhood improvement grant program, a volunteer Neighbor Labor program and originally included mediation services. The City is seeking a firm to complete on-call mediation services for neighbor-related disputes, contentious neighborhood issues, and other services as needed.
The Mediation Association of Colorado defines mediation as “a process that brings parties together to resolve their differences through discussion and problem-solving.” Mediation allows a third party to help the conflicting parties communicate and come to resolution quickly and fairly and without expense and stress of litigation in a confidential voluntary manner. Generally, mediation includes identifying the issue, coming up with a solution, and coming to an agreement between the two parties.
