Summary of Specifications:
The City of Greeley owns and operates a large, advanced secondary activated sludge wastewater treatment plant that includes liquid and solids processing as well as the land application of dewatered Class B biosolids. In 2012, a comprehensive biosolids Master Plan (“Plan”) was completed for the Greeley Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF). The Plan developed a long-term sustainable strategy for the handling, treatment and disposal of the City’s wastewater treatment biosolids including a list of prioritized capital improvement projects and timing as to when those projects would be initiated. The Plan addressed existing deficiencies such as aging equipment and infrastructure, equipment redundancy, and future solids handling and treatment needs.
