BID NO. 3006
Notice is hereby given that the City of Lakewood, Colorado will receive sealed bids for Bid #3006 to:
Replace the existing HVAC system that provides tempered air to the main pool area at the Carmody Recreation Center. Replace the entire air-handling single system with two new dehumidification units. Preliminary sizing indicated the need for two nominal 30 ton units with a total heat capacity of 500,000 BTU/h input via gas fired duct heaters. A new low pressure supply air ductwork system and accessories constructed of either aluminum or stainless spiral pipe be installed above the floor and be routed east to west, penetrating the east exterior wall. These supply ducts would be designed as necessary to route air to the perimeter walls. The existing supply ductwork located below the floor will be reconfigured to serve as return air ductwork for the news systems. New packaged automatic humidity/space temperature controls. Two roof mounted exhaust fans (approximately 3500 CFM each) with minimal ductwork are proposed as OA inducement. Additional electrical circuits will be provided as required from the existing electrical services room and extended to the new HVAC equipment locations. Packaged direct digital (DDC) automatic humidity /space temperature controls are to be provided and configured to allow for remote sending by the City of Lakewood. A new underground concrete tunnel and concrete pad with fencing will be added to accept the new systems. New structural enhancements will be added to the existing tempered air supply system. Bids will be received at the Finance Department Front Desk, 1st Floor, Civic Center South, 480 S. Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80226, until 10:00 A.M., (MT) (our clock) on February 11, 2010. Bids will not be accepted after the specified hour and date of bid opening. Bids which are not prepared and filed in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders will be rejected.

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting shall be held On-Site at 10:00am on January 28, 2010.
Specifications may be purchased at a non-refundable cost of $25.00.
The estimate for this project is within $400,000-600,000.
The City reserves the right to waive any informalities and/or to reject any or all proposals in part or in whole.
