Summary of Specifications:
Estimated usage for the year is 7,500 to 10,000 tons. There will be no obligation on the part of the Owner to purchase the estimated amount or to limit purchases to that amount. The bid price submitted will be for the entire year of 2014.
Bidders are to bid on the materials as identified in the Bid Specifications or on approved equals. Hot asphalt will meet, or exceed the State of Colorado specifications. The Owner reserves the right to test the asphalt from any batch of asphalt, from any order, at any time that it deems appropriate.
All asphalt will be picked up at supplier’s plant by city trucks, as needed. Pickups for hot asphalt for patching requirements will generally be less than 20 tons per day. Overlay amounts could range from 200 – 1,000 tons. If required, advance notice can be given when large amounts will be needed.
Bidders may submit specifications, brochures and other supplemental materials describing similar products for approval either prior to or with their bids. Bidders may have more than one plant capable of supplying Owner’s needs. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid.
Driving distance from our location (1800 W. Belleview Ave., Littleton, Colorado 80120) will be considered in evaluating the bids.
