The project is funded by a Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program grant for state highway 75 intersections Mineral Avenue and South Platte Canyon Road, and Bowles Avenue and South Platte Canyon Road. Work includes geometric improvements at both intersections to improve visibility, bike and pedestrian mobility, and vehicular safety; along with signal replacements at both intersections, signal wiring, hardware, resetting pedestrian hardware, removal and replacement of concrete along pedestrian routes, mill and overlay of adjacent asphalt, and construction of pedestrian landing areas within the intersections.
