IFB-423002 - 2023 Concrete Rehabilitation Projects

Scope: The work performed under this Contract includes the removal and replacement of existing concrete and new construction of miscellaneous concrete items.  These items include, but are not limited to, curb walk (Hollywood, Vertical, Mountable & Modified Type C), vertical curb and gutter, 6" flatwork, 10" flatwork, 10” crosspan, 10” crosswalks, 6” driveway apron, 10” driveway apron, concrete pavement, ADA- and PROWAG-compliant curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces, saw-cutting, storm drainage inlet boxes, asphalt patching, and grading. In general, the length of sidewalk replacements vary from 5’ to 50’ sections. The Contractor should anticipate some variation in the width of the curb walk items. Contractor is encouraged to verify the field curb walk width for the locations depicted and quantified in Appendix A. Contractor shall employ traffic control and Stormwater protection measures at all work areas, immediately repair all irrigation components impacted by the work, and shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Contract specifications.

Minimum Qualifications: The City of Longmont is seeking qualified Contractors with applicable experience comparable to this project. The Contractor must have satisfactorily completed at least three (3) projects of similar scope in an established residential or commercial neighborhood within the last 5 years with each project valued at a minimum of $500,000. The projects must have included the construction and retrofitting of curb ramps compliant with the Proposed Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG). Utilize ATTACHMENT B & D of the Bid Submittal to document and submit these projects.

The Contractor must self-perform a minimum of 60% of all project work. The Contractor shall self-perform all forming, placing, and finishing of all concrete items on this project.
