RFP-PJ-1512 - CONCEPTUAL DRAINAGE & TRAIL DESIGN SERVICES

Summary of Specifications:
The Spring Gulch #2 Greenway corridor within Longmont is an approximately 4-1/2 mile corridor between Highway 66 and the St Vrain Greenway. Spring Gulch #2 travels through privately owned land and City-owned open space which is currently leased for agricultural operations. South of the City-owned open space and the Great Western Railroad tracks, the waterway passes through privately owned land. In addition to the trail corridor, Spring Gulch is also a major drainageway for the drainage basin on the eastern side of Longmont. This project will focus on the drainage between Mountain View Avenue (extended) to Highway 119, including drainage underneath Weld County Road 1 and Highway 119. The goal of this project is to complete conceptual design services for the entire project corridor within 2011. If desired by the City, the contract may be extended to include complete design documents and bidding assistance for the Highway 119 structure and/or the remainder of the trail and drainage improvements associated with this project in 2012 for a 2012/2013 construction bid.
