SCOPE: The Dickens Farm Nature Area project shall generally consist of grading, finish grading, and soil preparation; storm drainage, trenching and backfilling; erosion and sediment control; concrete flatwork, drilled caissons and concrete piers; crusher fines surfacing; drystack rock walls and riprap; hot mix asphalt pavement, concrete curbs and concrete wheel stops; concrete curb ramps and truncated domes; pavement markings; custom masonry restroom including plumbing and electrical; semi-custom prefabricated park shelters; nature discovery area features and surfacing; bike skills area features and surfacing; site furnishings; wood and wire fencing; aluminum and phenolic resin signs; irrigation system; trees, shrubs, wetland plantings, perennial plantings, seeding, sodding, and mulching; and weed management.
Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, freight, transportation, traffic control, temporary fencing and other necessary services and perform all operations required to complete the construction of the improvements according to the Contract Documents.
MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: The City of Longmont is seeking qualified Contractors with applicable experience comparable to this project. The Contractor must have satisfactorily completed at least three (3) projects of similar scope and complexity within the last 5 years. Utilize ATTACHMENT B & D of the Bid Submittal to document and submit these projects.
Contractor must contract with one of the two prequalified firms for work on the Nature Discovery Area. See Special Conditions paragraph SC33 for details.
