SCOPE: The Garden Acres Community Park Phase 2 Park Renewal project includes renovation of an existing 4-plex sports complex. Work includes demolition and removals, earthwork, concrete curbs and sidewalks, plazas, ramps and steps, new restroom facility including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, asphalt parking lot renovations, playground area and amenity construction, new sports lighting, new and replacement pedestrian lighting, existing shelter, dugout and scorer’s booth upgrades, chain link fencing installation, bleacher seat replacements, new site furnishings, hand rails and landscaping to include soil preparation, fine grading, irrigation, sodding, boulder installations, tree, shrub and perennial plantings, signs and mulching.

BID CONDITIONS: The City of Longmont is seeking qualified Contractors with applicable experience with large scale park renovation projects. The Contractor must have satisfactorily completed at least three (3) projects of similar scope within the last 10 years with each project valued at a minimum of $1,000,000. Utilize ATTACHMENT B & D of the Bid Submittal to document and submit these projects.

Contractors or subcontractors responsible for playground installation must have a certified installer overseeing the work. Installers shall be Certified Playground Safety Inspectors (CPSI) from the National Playground Safety Institute (NPSI) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Submit the certification and verification of experience with the applicable Contractor Data in the Bid Submittal documents.
