Summary of Specifications:
To ensure that the Land Development Code (LDC) continues to be up to date with best practices and current trends that represent the vision and collective desires of the community, the City of Longmont is interested in pursuing an update to the LDC to implement goals, policies and strategies of the community. The City is interested in partnering with a qualified consultant team to assist in the update to the Land Development Code. The consultant team will be primarily responsible for researching existing and proposed plans for recommended code amendments, researching best practices and introducing new concepts to be considered with the update, providing recommendations regarding amendments, providing graphic design as needed, and presenting recommendations in public forums for input, recommendations and adoption. City staff will be primarily responsible for coordinating staff and other interested party participation in the review of the proposed amendments, providing background information and perspectives, reviewing and providing recommendations on draft documents and recommended amendments, and creating communications for review and decision making bodies for adoption of the amendments.
