IFB-PJ-12046 - On Call Herbicide and Algaecide Application

Summary of Specifications:
Contractor(s) shall provide herbicide and algaecide application services in various City areas throughout Longmont as specified in the scope of work. Services include but are not limited to: Applying herbicides to control State listed noxious weeds and other aggressive weed species (e.g. kochia and Russian thistle) on three site categories: 1. rangeland/industrial and right-of-way sites; 2. turf/ornamental sites; and 3. applying algaecides and herbicides to aquatic sites such as ponds and lakes. All site categories are those that are defined by the Colorado Department of Agriculture. City rangeland includes but is not limited to open space and natural areas within parks and City industrial and right-of-way sites including shop yards and road and trail right-of-ways. City turf sites include irrigated turf fields in parks with ornamental site examples being shrub beds in parks. Examples of City aquatic sites are ponds within parks and wetlands on City property. This bid consists of several project areas that are not yet known. The City is looking for pricing per hour for spot spraying of weeds and algae controlled on City lands using backpack sprayers and handgun sprayers. The City is also looking for pricing per acre for broadcast spraying of weeds and algae controlled on and in City parks, district parks, greenways, and open space using boomless or boom mounted nozzles. Bidders are encouraged to bid all sections, but may choose to bid only one particular section dependent upon the company’s expertise.
