Scope:
The City is seeking water utility contractor(s) for on‐call general construction services on an as‐needed basis. Work may include water distribution and transmission pipelines, pump stations and associated appurtenances; wastewater collection pipelines, lift stations, manholes and associated appurtenances; and stormwater collection pipelines, inlets and associated appurtenances. The contract(s) may be established based on the nature of the work and would be in the form of a lump sum, line item or time and materials basis with a not‐to‐exceed limit utilizing the unit rates established in the Contract. The City intends to award one or more contracts. There is no guarantee that any work will be requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proposals will be considered only from water utility contractor(s) who have been in business for at least five (5) years, are financially responsible, and have experienced personnel able to perform the required service. The water utility contractor(s) must demonstrate that they meet the minimum mandatory qualifications of being established in the water distribution, wastewater collections and minor stormwater construction industry, with references showing that they have provided general construction services for construction, upgrades and rehabilitation of municipal water distribution, wastewater collection and minor stormwater systems. The Contractor is expected to self‐perform the primary work under this contract. The Contractor may subcontract specialized work required on work orders, upon written consent of the City of Longmont’s Project Manager. The Contractor shall provide all requested information from Section III.B of this RFP. Failure to provide this information may result in the Proposal being declared non‐responsive.
