IFB-423061 - Trunk 1 Sanitary Sewer Bypass

Scope: Project will be completed for the City of Longmont in East 2nd Avenue which is a City owned paved street. The project will connect two major City sanitary interceptors (trunks). The pipeline(s) will be made up of 21-inch and dual 15-inch diameter PVC pipe installed along East Second Avenue. In addition, this work includes a concrete pipe encasement, controlled low strength material bedding, a bypass structure with a weir and isolation gates, and new manholes. Work includes all materials, labor, equipment, and related items necessary to install approximately 1,315 feet of 15 and 21-inch pipeline, manholes, and a bypass flow split structure.

The work to be performed will require traffic control and coordination with a multifamily development contractor. The construction of the sanitary sewer bypass pipeline may occur during the same time that the multifamily development contractor is completing their required utility and road work. It is expected that the Contractor be able to coordinate with the City and Engineer as construction of the multifamily development progresses.

Minimum Qualifications: Bidder must provide evidence that they are qualified to perform the Work indicated in the Contract Documents. The Contractor and the Contractor’s on-site representative who has immediate charge must each have satisfactorily completed the same responsibilities in the last 5 years on at least three (3) sanitary line installation project of 1000 feet or more of 15-inch or greater PVC sanitary pipe within a trafficked municipal corridor.

It is mandatory that Bidder fully completes the Bid Submittal Documents and provides all materials requested herein. Bidder must fully complete a separate copy of the “Bidder’s Officials and Key Personnel Data” for officials and key personnel submitted to meet the qualifications in the above paragraph.  Bidders that fail to comply with this requirement may be considered non-responsive.
