RFP-MD-18022 - Wastewater Treatment Plant Pipe and Structrue Rehabilitation Project

The City of Longmont Public Works and Natural Resources Department provides wastewater service to the City of Longmont, Colorado (City). The Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is located at 501 East First Avenue, Longmont, CO 80501 and is rated at an annual average design flow capacity of 10.7 million gallons per day (mgd) and a design organic loading of 31,770 lbs BOD per day.
 
The City has identified the need to replace the primary clarifier effluent piping, and rehabilitate the primary effluent pump station structure, Digester No. 2 tank interior, Sludge Control Building exterior sump structure, and the effluent boxes for Thickener Nos. 1 and 2 due to age and the corrosive effects of wastewater on the pipe/structure interior surfaces. The wastewater has degraded the pipes and structures to a level requiring replacement or rehabilitation. This project will extend the life of the piping and structures in addition to improving their operation.
