The City is committed to improving transportation safety by reducing the risk of death and injury on our transportation system. The City is interested in developing a Program that will facilitate systematic implementation of proven safety countermeasures that reduce fatal crashes and crashes resulting in severe injuries.
The creation of the Study will be a collaborative effort led by the City Public Works Department and supported by a Stakeholder Committee. The Stakeholder Committee (Committee) will include law enforcement, emergency services, Larimer County, CDOT, Thompson School District, and public health professionals.
The Program will include data collection, identification, analysis, and prioritization of safety improvements for collector (major) and arterial (2-, 4-, and 6-lane) corridors, including CDOT corridors, within Loveland’s growth management area.
