202368643 - Life Safety Smoke Control Systems Testing

This request is for a competitive (RFP) to select a qualified contractor to provide life safety smoke control systems testing services at Denver International Airport (DEN). The successful contractor will perform smoke operational and performance testing of DEN facilities in compliance with the Denver amendments to the International Fire Code (IFC) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 92 requirements. The contractor will also be requested to develop a Testing Procedure Manual Report that shall follow these codes and shall be reviewed and approved by the Denver Fire Department. The manual shall include identification of each component of the smoke control systems and their locations. All procedures shall be summarized in each report. All reports submitted shall become property of DEN and may be used in future life safety situations. Reports shall be submitted separately for each facility. The DEN Life Safety Section will  review for completeness of all reports and may require correction and resubmission as necessary. In addition, the Contractor is to provide professional, technical, and administrative support personnel necessary to complete the Scope of Basic Services provided. This will include a professional engineer licensed in the State of Colorado who is knowledgeable in the design and testing of smoke control systems and who will conduct the overall testing and review process per the applicable fire codes.
