The City of Craig will receive sealed bids for 2024 Sewer Replacements project until 2:00 PM local time, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the office of the City Clerk, 300 west 4th Street, Craig, Colorado 81625, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Electronic submissions will also be accepted at lwhite@ci.craig.co.us. Bids received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. All interested parties are invited to attend. The Project is to be fully completed by October 30, 2024. The Work of this Contract generally consists of the following system improvements: • Replace approximately 650 feet of sewer pipe in Lincoln Street, between 9th and 10th Streets. • Replace approximately 1260 feet of sewer pipe in Colorado Street, between 6th and 8th Streets • Replace approximately 600 feet of sewer pipe in the alley between Lincoln and Washington, from 3rd to 4th Streets. Bidding documents will be available on Thursday December 28, 2023. Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents for use in preparing Bids may be obtained from the engineer, SGM, at no cost by contacting Cassie Coopersmith at (970) 945-1004 or cassiec@sgm-inc.com. A copy of Bidding Documents will be available for examination the office of the City of Craig, 300 West 4th Street, Craig, CO 81625. All questions concerning bid shall be direct to engineer by contacting Chad Paulson at (970) 945-1004 or chadp@sgminc.com . There is a mandatory pre-bid conference for this project at 10:00am, Wednesday January 24, 2024, at City Hall. Individual site visits can be arranged by contacting Carl Ray with the City of Craig at (970) 824-6340. Each Bidder shall file with his bid a bid security in the form of a cashier's check, certified check or a bidder's bond in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and a Labor and Material Payment Bond guaranteeing payment of all debts arising out of the Work. No Bid may be withdrawn for the period of time after the date Bids are opened which is specified in the Bid Form. The City of Craig reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. The bids shall be completely filled out on the bid forms provided. Bids shall be addressed to the City of Craig and shall have the name of the bidder and “2024 Sewer Replacements” written thereon. Failure to comply with the provisions of this paragraph will be cause for rejection of bid.
