The City of Fountain, Colorado, is seeking a contractor to remove TA-50 Lockers and store them in shipping containers at Building 704 Fort Carson, Colorado. The selected contractor will be engaged by the City of Fountain to assist in fulfilling the Intergovernmental Support Agreement with Fort Carson. Details are below.
The purpose of this project is to remove and store approximately 200 of the TA-50 military lockers in a 40ft long x 8ft wide x 8.5ft high container (Connex), the contractor needs to plan for efficient space utilization.
TA-50 Lockers are approximately 78” H x 42” W x 24” D.
Calculate Locker Volume and Container Volume and verify Total Space Needed for 200 Lockers.
We calculated that 4 – 40’ containers (Connex) are needed for 200 Lockers.
You will need to efficiently arrange the lockers to make use of the available space. Consider stacking and organizing them in rows.
Lockers can be stacked on top of each other since they are heavy-duty and designed for secure storage.
Confirm the Number of Lockers.
Clean the container and make sure the floor is suitable for storing heavy items.
Provide labor and tools to remove 200 lockers from building 704 and haul the lockers to the storage area.
Once all lockers are inside, the contractor shall secure them with any method to prevent shifting during storage.
Final Cleaning and Inspection
Conduct a thorough cleaning of the entire work area to remove any dust, debris, or excess materials.
Perform a final inspection with the end user, COR and PM to ensure all tasks have been completed to a high standard and that the new flooring is properly installed and finished
