18-002 - SUSTAINABLE ACTION PLAN

The City of Fountain is interested in a consultant or firm specializing in the development of an internal Sustainability Action Agenda. It is the intent of the City to select the most qualified provider of the services detailed within this RFP and to enter into a professional services agreement with that consultant or firm.
 
While the sustainable programs offered to Fountain residents are robust and growing, the City of Fountain recognizes that it must lead by example. The City has adapted few internal initiatives which invest in sustainability such as recycling services and converting all lighting to LED. In recognizing the importance of sustainability in a growing community, the City is in need of an internal strategy to understand how the needs of city staff can be addressed through a focus on sustainability, how to communicate the value of sustainability to staff, and how all may come to a mutual understanding of the goals that staff should be working towards to facilitate a sustainable work environment.
 
Each city building and department contains their own specific issues, ideas and programs that may work best for their group. In order to create a successful and inclusive vision for the city, we must identify the individual challenges and opportunities from each department’s perspective. The consultant will propose goals to be included in the plan to the Conservation Program Manager and Sustainability Committee for approval prior to finalizing the plan.
 
The consultant must be able to provide all necessary services to perform the assessment and plan creation detailed in this RFP.
