200 - Concert Promotions RFQ

Through the RFQ process, the City seeks to engage a concert promoter to provide the music for the Mike the Headless Chicken Festival as well as the Thursday Night Concert Series. The City will provide the concert promoter with a set budget. It is expected that the selected concert promoter will handle all logistical details and provide a turnkey operation. The concert promoter should be experienced in working on projects of similar scale and budget.

Mike the Headless Chicken Festival will be held on Friday June 2nd and Saturday June 3 rd, 2023. It is typically held the weekend after Memorial Day Weekend. The City seeks to have nationally known bands to headline Friday night and Saturday night and local/regional talent to fill the remaining spots. A typical schedule of music is as follows with (2) two bands performing on Friday and (5) five bands performing on Saturday: Friday: Opening Act 6:00 pm; Headliner 7:30pm Saturday: local/regional 11:00am; local/regional 2:00pm; local/regional 4:00pm; Opening Act 5:30pm; Headliner 7:30pm

Thursday Night Concerts are held at Civic Center Park in downtown Fruita for 10 weeks starting June 8th and runs through August 10th. The City is looking for regional/local talent to fill all 10 weeks. Concerts are to begin at 7:30 pm and end around 9:00pm.
