24-24 - 2024 Electric Distribution Circuit Improvements

The project has been broken into two sub-projects, which are listed below. In all the projects, the contractor is responsible for the following items:
• Creating and executing traffic control plans where needed.
• Scheduling outages with the City and electric customers. The City will create and execute switching orders to isolate where feasible.
• Transfer of all joint use utilities (communication lines, fiber optics, etc.). This cost must be included in proposal.
• Contractor will supply all equipment to complete work such as bucket trucks, hand tools, macs, hot arms, wire pulling equipment, etc.
• Tree trimming and digging of power pole holes needs to be included in proposal.
The two sub-projects are:
1. 0.25 miles of upgrade from three-phase 1/0 ACSR to 477 ACSR This upgrade extends from the tie open point of Reed and Alco circuits on Virginia Avenue.
2. Reconductor of 1.2 miles of Northeast Feeder on Denver Avenue from 8th Street to Iowa.
