This project is a full rebuild of Railroad Avenue from 5th Street to 9th Street and includes new concrete sidewalk, asphalt roadway, concrete roadway, road base, traffic signal improvements at 7th and 9th Street, surveying, water main & services, demolition and export of materials in the project boundary, alley improvements, and signage & striping.
Traffic control will be the responsibility of the contractor. Traffic control plans will be required for submittal and approval. A phasing plan has been provided by the City for traffic control bidding. Modifications to the City’s phasing plan may be made if seen fit by the contractor after award.
Xcel Energy will perform installation of new gas line and installation/modifications to the streetlights. All of this work has been coordinated by the City but coordination with Xcel and the contractor for general timing will be needed after award.
