The objective of this project is to conduct a program evaluation of the RENW program. Specifically, the project will evaluate and inform this programs’ effectiveness towards setting Colorado on a path to 100% renewable energy on the grid by 2040, which is one of the Governor’s Bold Four Goals, and reducing the production of greenhouse gas emissions. A contracted evaluator will evaluate a sample of projects to develop an impact analysis, provide a recommended methodology for consistent cost/benefit analysis, and recommend standard data collection and performance measurements by project type. The primary outcomes will be guidance for prioritizing future investments in clean energy projects and presumably an increase in future investments that will result in cost savings and further reductions in greenhouse gases.
