Separate sealed bids for Havana St. and Meridian Blvd. Intersection Improvement Project, CI 2020-040 will be received by the Owner, Douglas County Government, Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104, until Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. This project consists of Havana Street and Meridian Boulevard Intersection reconfiguration and traffic signal replacement. This project includes the installation of fiber optic cable to interconnect Douglas County traffic signals throughout the Meridian Business Park. The major components of the project are concrete paving, storm sewer construction, curb ramp construction, traffic signal construction, roadway lighting installation, and fiber optic cable installation.
The Contract Documents will be available after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, through Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System Website (www.rockymountainbidsystem.com) or they may be obtained at the above address. Electronic versions of the Plans obtained by any other means than as described above may not be complete or accurate, and it is the Bidder’s responsibility to obtain a complete set of the Project Plans and Specifications. Douglas County will not be held responsible for misinformation received from private plan rooms.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104. All questions are due to Benjamin Pierce, P.E, Project Engineer by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, The Bid Opening will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the same address.
The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities:
- 10,048 square feet of Concrete Pavement (9 Inch)
- 17,621 linear feet of Fiber Optic Cable (Single Mode) (Install Only)
- 2 Complete Traffic Signal Installations
Before submitting a Bid Proposal, Bidders shall have received prequalification status (active status) with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth herein.
