Separate sealed bids for MERIDIAN BOULEVARD PHASE 2 PROJECT; CI 2020-007 will be received by the Owner, Douglas County Government, Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104, until Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. This project consists of the removal and replacement of Meridian Boulevard between Jamaica Street and Belford Avenue in Douglas County. Bid items include 15,107 square yards of 9-inch concrete pavement, 10,231 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter, 5,107 tons of aggregate base course, pavement markings, storm sewer inlets, sprinklers, fiber optic conduit, and erosion control.
The Contract Documents will be available after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021, through Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System Website (www.rockymountainbidsystem.com) or they may be obtained at the above address. Electronic versions of the Plans obtained by any other means than as described above may not be complete or accurate, and it is the Bidder’s responsibility to obtain a complete set of the Project Plans and Specifications. Douglas County will not be held responsible for misinformation received from private plan rooms.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104. All questions are due to Daniel Roberts, P.E., Project Engineer by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. The Bid Opening will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at the same address.
The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities:
- 15,107 SY of 9-inch Concrete Pavement
- 10,231 LF of Concrete Curb and Gutter
- 5,107 Tons of Aggregate Base Course
Prior to submitting a Bid Proposal, Bidders shall have received prequalification status (active status) with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth herein.
