Separate sealed bids for Trumbull Bridge Rehabilitation Project; Douglas County Project Number CI 2019-018 will be received by the Owner, Douglas County Government, Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104, until Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. This project consists of activities to extend the service life of the existing bridge and improve safety for the traveling public. The Trumbull bridge crosses over the South Platte River between Jefferson County and Douglas County 1.2 miles north of Deckers, CO on County Road 67. The major components of the project are replacing the bridge deck, installing new bridge rail, replacing guardrail, and asphalt paving..
The Contract Documents will be available after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, through Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System Website (www.bidnetdirect.com) or they may be obtained at the above address. Electronic versions of the Plans obtained by any other means than as described above may not be complete or accurate, and it is the Bidder’s responsibility to obtain a complete set of the Project Plans and Specifications. Douglas County will not be held responsible for misinformation received from private plan rooms.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104. All questions are due to Benjamin Pierce, P.E., Project Engineer by 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. The Bid Opening will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the same address.
The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities:
- 209 TON AGGREGATE BASE COURSE CLASS 6)
- 27420 LB REINFORCING STEEL (EPOXY COATED)
- 118 CY CONCRETE CLASS D (BRIDGE)
- 259 LF BRIDGE RAIL TY 10M
Prior to submitting a Bid Proposal, Bidders shall have received prequalification status (active status) with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth herein.
