Summary of Specifications:
The Community Planning and Sustainable Development Department in coordination with the Office of the County Manager of Douglas County Government, hereinafter referred to as the County, respectfully requests proposals from responsible and qualified firms to perform an update to the 2005 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) for Douglas County, Colorado, which meets the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The contract issued as a result of this RFP, will be to update Douglas County’s AI, to satisfy Certifications in the Douglas County Consolidated Plan that the County will affirmatively further fair housing, including that it will conduct a study to identify the Impediments to Fair Housing Choice within Douglas County, and list appropriate actions to overcome the effects of any impediments identified through that analysis.
The AI should be developed as described in the Fair Housing Planning Guide, Volume I published by HUD, Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity. The study will include unincorporated Douglas County and all incorporated jurisdictions in the County including, Castle Rock, Parker, Lone Tree, Castle Pines and Larkspur.
