The County has an employee base of approximately 1450 full-time, “regular” positions and has an additional 80 part-time and seasonal staff. The majority of benefits are offered to full-time and part-time regular employees. The County has self-funded medical, dental, and vision plans, a Flexible Spending Plan with options that include Health and Dependent Care, Health Savings Accounts, Life and AD&D insurance, self-funded Short Term Disability, fully insured Long Term Disability and an Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, the County offers voluntary benefits to include Critical Illness, Accident, Buy-Up Long Term Disability, and Pet Insurance. Specialty programs include Hello Heart, Hinge Health and a wellness program. Retirement benefits include 401(a) retirement plan with a voluntary 457 plan with an employer match.
