Summary of Specifications:
Douglas County Government: Facilities Management - Fairgrounds, respectfully requests proposals from responsible, qualified, catering and/or concessionaire companies to provide catering and concession services for events conducted at the Douglas County Fairgrounds and Events Center.
It is the intent that multiple food service providers will be chosen to provide catering and concession services for events scheduled at the Events Center. We are looking to expand our list of food and beverage service providers to ensure all of our customers’ needs can be met as well as our growth plans can be met. Beverage management (liquor) services will be determined through a separate request.
The Douglas County Fairgrounds and Regional Park is located in Castle Rock, Colorado only ½ mile from Interstate 25. The Events Center opened in August of 2001 and consists of a column free 30,000 square foot exhibit hall, a 3,330 square foot conference room that can be divided into 2 rooms, and a 2,900 square foot kitchen professionally equipped. The kitchen equipment list is attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit “A”. The Events Center floor plan is attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit “B”.
The Indoor Arena opened in August of 2003 and provides a venue for both public and private equine and dog events. The Indoor Arena also houses a commercially equipped kitchen. The Indoor Arena floor plan is attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit “C”.
Over the past nine (9) years the facility has hosted concerts, trade shows, banquets, trainings, athletic events, equine events, and business meetings. Events have ranged in size from 25 to 3000 visitors.
