Summary of Specifications:
The Facilities Management Department in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Office of Douglas County Government, hereinafter referred to as the County, respectfully requests proposals from responsible and qualified consultants to assist the County in the evaluation of the existing facility and in achieving a long-term strategic plan for meeting the future needs of the detention section at the Robert A. Christensen Justice Center in Castle Rock, Colorado.
To achieve this objective, forecasts need to be made of probable future space needs. Existing physical resources, including support areas (kitchen, laundry, infirmary, etc.) will have to be evaluated. Alternative scenarios should be prepared that describe the advantages, costs, timing, historical considerations, and all other objective measures.
The initial agreement, issued as a result of this RFP, will be for a period of six (6) months, beginning approximately August 1, 2011 to and including December 31, 2011. All proposed fees shall be firm and fixed for the initial contract period. The County shall have an option to renew this agreement with the same terms and conditions. This agreement and/or extension to the original period of a subject agreement shall be contingent upon annual funding being appropriated, budgeted and otherwise made available for such purposes and subject to the County’s unanimous satisfaction with the services received during the preceding agreement period.
