RFP-16-09-001 - High School Pizza Delivery

Summary of Specifications:
DCSD Nutrition Services wishes to engage a national pizza chain to provide pizzas for the School Lunch program in their 9 High Schools. Because the high schools are not on the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), the nutritional requirements are different than school lunch pizzas. In addition to delivery of pizzas, we would like to receive marketing support from the national pizza chain to help promote the pizza product with our 18,000 high school students. Pizza would be delivered each day of the week (Monday – Friday) from October to the end of May each school year. Each pizza will be 16” in size and contain the following nutritional guidelines: No more than 40% total fat No more than 15-18% saturated fat. Cheese used must be real cheese with no artificial cheese used. Cheese used should use a part skim mozzarella in their cheese blend. Pizza must be at least 140 degrees upon delivery and made fresh before delivery Pizza must be cut into 8 slices per pizza.
