The El Paso County Department of Public Works, (County) is seeking written quotes from qualified, licensed and experienced General Abatement Contractors to provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the permitting, securing, covering/stabilizing, abatement, demolition, removal and environmentally appropriate disposal of all structures and debris located at 712 Widefield Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80911 (Assessor Parcel Number 6512311012), in El Paso County, Colorado. See attached map for location of the project. This effort is coordination with Pikes Peak Regional Building Department and El Paso County Planning and Community Development Department and is the 712 Widefield Drive Demolition/Abatement Project (hereinafter Project) which generally includes permitting, utility disconnection, abatement, and the demolition, removal and environmentally appropriate disposal of all existing man-made structures. The successful Contractor will be required to furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds.
The building or structure on the project property was determined to be a dangerous building as defined in Section RBCl 12.1.7 of the Pikes Peak Regional Building Code (the "Code"), and is hereby declared to be a public nuisance under the provisions of Section RBCl 12.2.1 of the Code. The building or structure is in a condition as to make it immediately dangerous to the safety of the public or its occupants, if any, despite the Notice to Vacate in accordance with Section RBCl 12.2.6 of the Code, pursuant to Section RBC 112.2.10.1 of the Code, as adopted by the Board of County Commissioners, El Paso County, Colorado.
