21-035 - Background Check Services

Background check services will be requested by the County on an “as-needed” basis, as determined by the County. Approximately 600 individuals per year may be referred for background checks.  Usually, each individual requires 3 or 4 different types of checks. The number of individuals and checks vary from year to year.

The package of checks requested for various applicants and employees may vary somewhat, depending on the applicant and the position to be filled.  Also, additional checks may be requested for a specific applicant or employee, over time, as additional needs are identified. The overall selection of services provided by the successful bidder may also vary and change over time as County policy and procedures evolve, and as laws, rules, and regulations change.
