El Paso County is soliciting responses from qualified, experienced, professional Consultants to furnish all materials and labor as necessary for Bradley Road Widening Project (“Project”).
It is expected that the business and their team members have significant experience with this type of work. It is expected that the individuals overseeing and managing this project are qualified professionals. The successful Consultant shall be considered and shall remain an independent Consultant throughout the term of
any contract awarded pursuant to this Solicitation.
Bradley Road, from South Academy Blvd. to Hancock Expressway is currently a two (2) lane paved road, approximately 1 mile. The eastern portion of the road (approximately one-third (1/3)), from
Hancock Expressway to Lincoln Plaza Drive has concrete curb, gutter and detached sidewalk on both sides of the road. The remaining western portion of the road has no curb, gutter or sidewalk. Roadside ditches were graded to convey surface runoff on both side of the road. The intersection at Bradley Road and Hancock Expressway is currently a span wire signalized intersection. This project will upgrade Bradley Road from South Academy Blvd. to Hancock Expressway, to El Paso County principal arterial standards, which will generally widen Bradley Road from two lanes to four lanes and provide multimodal access, ADA improvements, intersection improvements, and surface and drainage improvements.
The Project is being funded through the following sources: Federal (CDOT Project No. STM C040-073; 24641) and El Paso County. There will be Federal, State (CDOT) and El Paso County oversight of the project. There is a 4% DBE goal associated with design of this project. This project is also subject to Davis-Bacon requirements.
