19-107 - Construction of US 24 & Meridian Road Improvements/Falcon Park & Ride Project

Project is located approximately 14 miles northeast of downtown Colorado Springs in the Falcon area. El Paso County proposes to construct improvements to this roadway corridor and a park & ride facility.
The proposed improvements will:

• Add 0.52 miles of new roadway to extend New Meridian Road from State Highway 24 (US24) south to Falcon Highway as a four lane Principal Arterial roadway per City of Colorado Springs criteria;
• Construct the intersection of New Meridian and US24 and install a traffic signal;
• Convert Old Meridian and US24 intersection from signalized to a right-in/right-out;
• Provide 0.71 miles of roadway resurfacing for new auxiliary lanes and associated improvements on US24 between Falcon Highway & Old Meridian Road;
• Cul-de-sac Old Meridian Road and extend Swingline Road to New Meridian to include an 80 ft Ø roundabout;
• Create a 220 spot Park & Ride Facility bordered by New Meridian, Old Meridian, and Swingline Roads; and
• Create a full spectrum water quality pond at the intersection of New Meridian and Falcon Hwy
